Offering a Pause Instead of Losing the Cancellation
A third of departures are temporary — vacations, a rough patch, a change of pace. A "pause" button wins them back.
The cancellation form is the one place a creator learns something useful about their members. Most only offer an exit door there.

Sixty-one percent of stated reasons are situational. These people aren't rejecting the creator: they're adjusting their budget or their schedule. Offering them a one-to-three-month pause turns a permanent departure into an interruption.
The guardrails
- Two pauses per year at most, otherwise the pause becomes a free subscription.
- Three months maximum per pause.
- Tenure is preserved — that's what makes coming back appealing.
- No access to gated content during the pause.
